“If I can have something that just do this for me, create the job, create the project, create the customer. I don’t have to sit there and data entry everything.”

Oscar L Account Manager, Elite Installation

At Elite Installation, every appliance replacement is a pickup, an install, and a drop-off, and each one needs records behind it. Maverick, FieldPulse’s built-in AI assistant, drafts them from a customer’s work order. Account manager Oscar Lopez reads what comes back and approves it.

Customer Spotlight: Elite Installation

  • Industry: Appliance-replacement installation
  • Location: Sylmar, CA
  • FieldPulse customer since: 2025

What Maverick Does at Elite Installation

  • Creates customers, projects, and jobs from a chat message or a customer’s work order
  • Builds estimates
  • Applies a plain-language correction, like a new site address, to a project it just created
  • Works in the background, so Oscar can write an email while it builds a record

Elite Installation replaces appliances for its customers, and Oscar handles his own accounts.

Every Record Typed by Hand

Each appliance replacement has three steps: the pickup, the install, and the drop-off. Oscar schedules all of them, down to who takes what where. Before Maverick, he also built the records for every replacement by hand: a customer, a project, and a job, with what to do, which appliance, what to pick up, and where the unit goes. What Oscar wanted was something that would create the customer, the project, and the job for him.

From Work Order to Project

The first time Oscar used Maverick, he gave it a customer’s work order. He downloaded the work order, dropped it into Maverick, and asked it to create a project and a customer. It did both, straight from the document, and the typing was off his plate. “I don’t have to sit there and like data entry everything.” Creating projects is what he asks Maverick for most, followed by jobs and estimates.

One job came with three names attached: the site where the work happens, the company that ordered the unit, and the parent company above them. Oscar told Maverick which was which, and it set the job up that way. “It’s crazy, but it did it.” When he gave it the site address with one plain instruction, Maverick applied it and the project came out right.

Reading Instead of Typing

Where Oscar used to type every record, he now reads what Maverick drafts and approves it, and nothing saves until he does. Projects give Elite Installation one place to follow the whole job, and Maverick is how he builds them. “Here’s the pickup, here’s where it went to, here’s the truck it was on, and now I can actually follow it.” While Maverick builds a record, he can work on something else.

Oscar loves using AI in his work. “I think it makes you more efficient, get things done faster.” Asked whether Maverick has saved him time compared to doing the work by hand, he answered “Most definitely.”

Oscar has been putting Maverick to work, and the owner noticed. She messaged him that he had used it 160 times in the last week. He uses Gemini at work to word emails, but the records come from Maverick, which works inside the company’s own FieldPulse account.

An Owner Who Backs AI

The owner is all for AI and backs it across the company, and Oscar says that makes him want to use it more. Carmen Vargas, who manages office services at Elite Installation, says the owner’s enthusiasm carries over to the team. “She’s big on AI, so we’re so excited to use Maverick.” Carmen has asked Maverick to walk her through processes and used it for day-of tasks, and she says the team wants to know everything it can do.

Asked what he’d tell someone nervous about bringing AI into a field service business, Oscar’s answer was “Give it a try.” He knows the fear that AI will know more than the people using it, but for him it’s a time saver, and he finds it a little more organized than entering everything himself.

Ready for the Next Job

Elite Installation has pickups, installs, and drop-offs to schedule, and Maverick is part of how the records get built. A work order Oscar drops in comes back as a customer and a project to review. Every project gives Oscar one place to follow a unit from pickup to drop-off. Every record Maverick drafts is one he reads instead of types.

Oscar reviews records instead of entering them, and he can write an email while the next one builds.

The jobs keep coming. With Maverick, Elite Installation skips the data entry.

About Maverick

Maverick is FieldPulse’s built-in AI assistant for the office. Ask it a question in plain language, and it answers from your own FieldPulse data: customers, jobs, schedules, invoices, and more. It can find records, build reports, draft customers, jobs, estimates, and invoices, and walk your team through how-to questions using the FieldPulse Help Center. It can also search the web for context. You don’t export anything or paste it into another tool. Maverick drafts, and you approve: nothing saves until you read it over and sign off.
